As the CSB once again looks forward to another busy year of ministry, we are sad to say farewell to percussionist Ray Larlee, who stepped out of the band over the summer. Ray had been with the CSB since May 2001 and his contributions were very much appreciated, not least in playing with the band’s worship team during the past year. We wish him well in his upcoming marriage to Jennifer Gleadall of Hamilton, Ont., and pray that God will be with them both as they commence their new life together at Meadowlands Corps.
As we begin a new season, we are happy to welcome Leigh Rowney on percussion. Leigh originally hails from Sheffield, England, where, in addition to playing in his own corps band, he was also a member of the Household Troops Band that visited Canada in 2002. He is currently an active bandsman at Agincourt Community Church, Toronto. We also welcome Craig Lewis back into the band on first trombone. He replaces Andrew Poirier who has now moved to Vancouver. Craig is a longtime member of the CSB from previous years and we are looking forward to his further contributions in the days to come. Â
